Admonishment

Have you ever heard your spirit cry? I have and will never forget it.

Have you ever heard the Holy Spirit warn you that if you do not stop a certain activity you know you should not be doing you will die? I have and stopped, though the residuals haunt me to this very day due to prolonged disobedience.

Have you ever had the Father shout, “Pray” so strongly that the word vibrated within you? During an illness and very little praying it happened to me. It took the first echo to comprehend the word it was so powerful.

Have you ever been told by the Father that, “This vessel (you) is not good?” Lack of prayer and worship cause this to occur to me.

Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit leave your body? I have, a cold, suddenly empty sensation that started in the chest, chilling me to my core. The shivering in the middle of a summer night had me groping for warmth. Avoid at all costs.

Have you ever heard Him call your name with gentle authority, freezing you in your tracks? I am glad He did because my body and mind were headed towards a very bad place.

Have you ever been told, “You are a horrible parent,” and shown exactly what you did wrong? Several times I have and regret each and every one.

Have you ever engaged in pointless streams of thought or daydreams, only to have them interrupted repeatedly by bad or stupid memories, or the same physical distraction occurring too frequently to be coincidence? Some people use entertainment, drugs, sex, etc. to escape reality; I use my imagination. This is one of my great failings that He has to snap me out of sometimes.

Thank you, Lord of spirits, for Your correction. My heart sings for joy at Your ability to read my soul and deliver supernaturally what I need. I understand the only reason You cut me a break is my obsession for Your truth. Your love for those passionate about serving You is so very patient. Children of the Most High, see how great His loving-kindness is! Amen.
