We Owe the Father an Apology

Romans 12 (BSB)
1Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

We missed the whole point of all the sacrifices, including Yahshua’s: we are to become holy—purified for spiritual conduction—by the choices we make in our persons, in our minds, where we go, letting go of the world’s influence, etc. This includes our health. We, collectively, have not been taking care of the temples of our bodies. We have stuffed all kinds of drugs, fats, chemicals, over-processed foods, poorly raised meats, fake and real sweeteners into our mouths that harm us later in life. This COVID pandemic is a judgment (correction) against that behavior because poor health during the aging process wasn’t strong enough.

What do we do now?

First, repent. Repentance means to turn away from sin. In this case, make a plan to start changing the way we eat and what we eat. A great starting point is the Daniel Fast—vegan and no processed foods for a number of weeks, three being typical.

Start blessing your food before you eat and thanking him after you have finished. Eat a meal with your family and/or friends as often as you can.

Train yourselves to eat healthier choices. Cook and prepare foods in various ways to improve flavor and give yourselves options.

Avoid as much soda pop, junk, and restaurant food as possible. Involve the Lord in your daily food choices.

Avoid overeating or snacking all day, but you can ask the Lord to help you if you have this problem.

Heavenly Father, the ever-patient one, I am sorry I have not treated this housing for my and Your Spirits to the best of my ability. I have and will continue to improve how I care for it. Please continue to warn me of foods I should avoid and help me to know how to cleanse myself if I do eat the wrong things. I hope, one day, I will be able to grow some of my own vegetables.

Amen.
