– God’s people did not believe Jeremiah was a true prophet until either danger had approached, war hit them, or the murder of Pharaoh. How can we test so-called prophets today if the prophecies take time to come to fruition? I say, ask the Father to show you and wait for the answer.

– Both Isaiah and Jeremiah repeat themselves a lot.

– Jeremiah did no miracles nor was a witness to positive outcomes of his prophecies.

– 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” This famous passage brings tears to my eyes.

Psalm 139:13-16 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

Job 10:8 “Your hands shaped me and altogether formed me. Would You now turn and destroy me?”

Psalm 119:73 “Your hands have made me and fashioned me; give me understanding to learn Your commandments.”

Ecclesiastes 11:5 “As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the bones are formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.”

Isaiah 43:1 and Isaiah 44:2 “Thus says the LORD who made you and formed you from the womb, Who will help you…”

Isaiah 49:1 “Listen to Me, O islands; pay attention, O distant peoples: The LORD called Me from the womb; from the body of My mother He named Me.”

– 1:19 “They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.” AGAIN! Because they had disobeyed, AGAIN!

– 2:3 “Israel [God is upright, God strives, the upright striving for God] was holiness to the LORD, the firstfruits [beginning results] of His increase. All that devour him will offend; disaster will come upon them,” says the LORD. James 1:18 “He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.”

– 2:6 “Neither did they say, ‘Where is the Lord, Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt?’” Notice how often the Exodus is brought up? How important is this today?

– 2:24 “A wild donkey used to the wilderness, that sniffs at the wind in her desire; in her time of mating, who can turn her away? All those who seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they will find her.”

Genesis 16:12 “[Ishmael] will be a wild donkey of a man, and his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand against him; he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

Job 24:5 “Indeed, like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor go to work foraging for food; the wasteland is food for their children.

Israel is like Ishmael and his descendants, acting like the Father never provided for them.

– 2:25 “Withhold your foot from being unshod [ashamed], and your throat from thirst [deprived]. But you said, ‘There is no hope [trust in God]. No! For I have loved aliens, and after them I will go.’”

God had wanted them to treat the strangers among them well, not become like the surrounding nations. If they had obeyed, foreigners would have desired to become as Israel, serving the Lord, getting blessed in return. Influence is a powerful force.

– 2:28 “But where are the gods you made for yourselves? Let them rise up in your time of trouble and save you if they can.” LOL!

– 2:31 “O generation, see the word of the LORD! Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of darkness? Why do My people say, ‘We are lords; We will come no more to You’?”

Mark 9:19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you?”

Numbers 14:11 Then the LORD said to Moses: “How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?”

– 2:33 “Why do you beautify your way to seek love? Therefore you have also taught
the wicked women your ways.” Israel caused their women to sin. Remember, the Moabite women were sent to entice the men of Israel to sin.

Hosea 4:14 “I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, Nor your brides when they commit adultery; For the men themselves go apart with harlots, And offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot. Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.”

Men were the ones messing around with temple prostitutes, which encouraged the women to prostitute themselves.

– 2:34 “Also on your skirts is found the blood of the lives of the poor innocents.” They have caused the innocent (helpless, children) to die and see nothing wrong with it.

– 3:1 “They say, ‘If a man divorces his wife, And she goes from him and becomes another man’s, May he return to her again?’ Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me,” says the LORD.

Deuteronomy 24:4 “…then the husband who divorced her first may not remarry her after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination to the LORD. You must not bring sin upon the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.”

Genesis 2:24 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Also see Matthew 19:5, Mark 10:7, Mark 10:8, 1 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 5:31.

Marital purity was/is paramount, spiritually speaking, because the God-given, reproductive force of sexual energy used outside of God’s Order (in nature) and Will (direction for use) maintains and spreads the first sin’s corruption over the Earth. This opens mankind to evil influences, whether it be from entities, people, or society (culture) as a whole. Sex, simply put, is the strongest spiritual activity corrupt mankind will ever experience. It is even greater than murder, since more people have sex than kill. This is why Scripture either mentions or alludes to the sexual behavior involved with idolatry. Also sacrificing the fruit of sexual activity (children) bares a double consequence: pollution of the environment (2 Kings 3:27, Numbers 35:33, Genesis 4:10, Genesis 9:6, Deuteronomy 19:10, Deuteronomy 19:13, Deuteronomy 21:1-9, Proverbs 6:17, 1 Samuel 19:5, 26:15, 1 Kings 2:31, Matthew 27:4, Matthew 27:24) and insulting the Father’s work (Leviticus 18:21, Leviticus 20:2-5, Deuteronomy 18:10, Deuteronomy 12:31, 2 Kings 16:3, 2 Kings 17:17, 2 Kings 21:6, 2 Chronicles 28:3, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Psalm 106:37, Psalm 106:38, 7:31, 19:5, 32:35).

– 3:3 “You have had a harlot’s forehead [mindset]…” LOL!

– 3:4 “My Father, You are the guide of my youth?”

Genesis 45:8 [Joseph said,] “He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”

Judges 17:10 Micah said to [the Levite], “Dwell with me, and be a father and a priest to me…”

Judges 18:19 “And [the Danites] said to [the Levite], “Be quiet, put your hand over your mouth, and come with us; be a father and a priest to us.”

A father is a strong guard, guide, advisor—all three belong to the Lord, even today.

– 3:13 “Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the Lord your God, and have scattered your charms to alien deities under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice,” says the Lord.

Nehemiah 9:2 “Those of Israelite descent separated themselves from all the foreigners, and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.”
