A Plea

Please, help me to know You.
Please, help me to love You.
To You, oh Lord, my life cries out,
“Subject my flesh.
Quiet my soul.
Nourish my spirit.
Make me like You,
Within and without.”

Revelation at 5 in the A.M.

Our Father woke me up at 5a, desiring fellowship, of course. I, being slow to obey as usual, laid in bed for a few minutes until the printer rang downstairs (all the phone ringers are turned off). The familiar voice of the woman announcing school closures/delays filtered upstairs, as did the spouse, who sleeps mostly downstairs because the air there is less drying to the sinuses. A quick chitchat about what the message said led to me rising and spouse crawling into bed for the next 3 hours.

“I was already awake when it rang. Time for fellowship,” I said in the dark room.

Spouse yawned. “Fellowship?”

I began to walk away. “With the Father… you are usually not here when that happens.”

“I don’t think my presence is desired.”

Father did not like that.

He made me stop at the foot of the bed, turn, and say, “You said that you wanted to be given concrete orders like you had in the military. He is the Lord of hosts. Do you know what hosts means? Hosts is an army. What you are saying is that you want to be a [spiritual] puppet, not a child of God, an heir. That is what He has done.

“He is an abstract God. Don’t you see? Predestination and free will can co-exist at the same time. What we are to do is take everything we think we know and everything we are, place it on the altar and ask Him to burn up what is not of Him. Anything left over we can have. That is why the [Levitical] priests could eat the sacrifice.”

Spouse groaned in comprehension.

“That was the lesson of the sacrifice and nobody got it! Nobody! I only got it because I am connected to the Father (via the Holy Spirit, who delivers the Word, Jesus). He has been trying to reach you for decades. He is not going to force Himself upon you.”

“Did He force Himself on David?”

“David sought the Lord! David sought the Lord on nearly everything he did. When David did not seek the Lord’s will—that was when he screwed up. He screwed up when he did not go out to battle in the spring and his men re-enforced that decision. That led to him screwing up with Bathsheba; He did not seek the Lord on that either. And look at what happened [to David] because of this.

“David was a man after God’s own heart because he sought the Lord! Seek the Lord; it is the same thing I have been trying to tell you for years. Do you get it yet? And quit dismissing everything weird that happens as your imagination. If your imagination was so vivid as you say, you would not have to use the internet to keep it going.” I left the room… for fellowship and to type this exchange. The time on the clock was 8 after 5a.

My compliments to You, Father, Who delights in confounding the wise (or in this case, the know-it-alls) with the foolish and weak.

Religion vs. Spirit

Religion says, “Do this and that and you will be saved.”
Yah says, “Enter into my rest,” which means stop your works; seek and do His will.

Religion says, “The Bible is the final authority.”
Jesus, the Living Word, says, “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about Me, yet you refuse to come to Me that you may have life. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name (authority, nature, character), He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

Religion says, “Go to church.”
Jesus and the Apostles say, “Become the Temple (His Body, His holy nation, His Kingdom, the house of the Lord) made without human hands.”

Religion says, “Do these traditions, for they have been practiced for centuries.”
Yah and His Son say, “Seek Me and learn what I want.”

Religion says, “The perfect is here.”
Our Creator says, “Anything touched by man’s ego is unclean.”

Religion says, “This is what is best.”
Yah says, “Your best is like menstrual rags.”

Religion says, “Imitate others to help your life.”
Jesus says, “Deny self, take up your cross and follow Me.”

Religion says, “We know what God wants.”
Our Father says, “Seek Me.”

Religion says, “Follow these men all of your life.”
Jesus says, “Follow Me.” Paul said, “Follow me as I follow Christ (being Spirit-led) and become perfect (mature) to raise up others.”

Religion says, “There is no new revelation.”
Jesus continues to reveal His Father’s plan through the Holy Spirit into everyone who persistently seeks His will.

Thought Splatters (Pop!)

To renew one’s mind: place everything you have ever learned and thought on His altar, step back and say, “Father, I call upon Your holy fire to burn up what is not of You.”

Some Protestants replaced Mary and the sacraments with the Bible, while others, with leadership and the gift of the Spirit. The overcomers have and will replace all of those with the Living Word, Jesus, via the Holy Spirit. See John 5:39-40.

If you feel the urge to weep during worship or prayer, let the tears fall. Yes, our Father has emotions and wants to share them with you.

Always keep in mind that we are all flawed vessels, but He still wants to fill and use us whenever He wishes.

I am starting to believe He uses our errors to anchor us here until He is finished with us.

Either the flesh or spirit subjects the soul to it. This is why it is imperative to seek His will at all times.

Do not be alarmed if you have to relearn how to pray by His guidance. Consider it an upgrade.

Islam was and remains a judgment by YHWH against Christendom because Christendom got too big for its britches. Our Father can end Islam at any time, so I don’t worry about it.

Why does YHWH cause revivals to happen? He is bored! Don’t you think He desires some say-so over how He is worshiped? FYI: No one cannot schedule or demand a true revival; He does not work by men’s appointments.

Surrendered in All Things?

Two people in a bible study were debating whether females should be allowed to collect offerings and pass out the bread and juice. I, being a stranger to the church system, said, “Why not fast and pray, asking the Lord what He wants done?”

The pastor replied that we have freedom in how we serve the Lord. I stopped myself from disagreeing verbally since I am a stranger in their midst. I am sure my frown spoke volume. That is like the finger telling the brain, “I will move without your input.” That is called an illness or injury…just like sin and disobedience are illnesses of the soul.

The Lord Himself trained me to seek Him in everything and showed me that very few seem to care about what He actually wants. Our Father is bored, lonely, and eager to express His power to those who surrender completely. Why not seek Him to learn to serve Him in every way?

A Much-Desired Book

From all the Father has taught me through His Son and Spirit, it became apparent that the Body craved a clear understand of how the Law is now spiritual. I kept saying to Him and others, “We really need a book about this. Am I going to have to write it?” What a terrifying thought, since I hate writing and don’t feel educated enough in ancient Hebrew history.

Good news! The Father has commissioned someone to work on this very topic right now. Once I get my hands on it, I will do a synopsis and review to see if it gives enough meat for us to seek out more information.

Of course, He could have me do write-ups on this topic anyway…

Thought Splatters (Plunk!)

The popular phrase, “Let go and let God,” only applies to those who seek His Will over their own. Our Father delights in showing us His provision is greater than our needs. I propose a new saying, “Seek and trust His Will,” or “Seek His Will and trust it,” or maybe “Seek, wait, trust!”

Some believers say you have to go to church in order to stay on the right path. To them I ask, “Then how would you explain someone like me? Are you saying Yah is not great enough to keep me on the Way? Are you saying He cannot separate people with the intent of guiding them Himself as He did Eliyah and Paul?”

Believers, quit worrying about how the world and nonbelievers operate all of the time. Did Jesus not say, “But be of good courage, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)? Simply do what the Father tells you in particular to do and help spread the good news.

Scripture clearly states the reason He created the five-fold ministry, (literal translation) “…with a view (aim) to the perfecting of the saints for [the] work of ministry for building up the body of Christ.” It even declares we all will learn directly from Him at some point. See Jeremiah 31:34, John 6:45, John 14:16-17, John 14:26, Hebrews 8:11, 1 John 2:27. This means ALL BELIEVERS have a service to Yah as His priests, ambassadors to the world, and the growth of new parts of His Body. Is it any wonder why so few of the ones professing His name walk in spiritual authority and power?

Always remember, you choose to be offended. Being dead to sin (self) and alive in Christ means you are only offended by things contrary to spirit and truth, not feelings or opinions.

Man corrupted the Bible, but not Jesus, the Word in flesh. Listen to Him!

The blood of Christ = spirit and truth flowing through and giving life to His Body. Drinking His blood represents taking on His soul (life, heart, mind, and desire). Remember, the life is in the blood and Abel’s blood (life) cried out to God.

Money is not the seed taught in Scripture; the Word is.

Think of the layers of things (of the world and self) distracting you that the Word has to penetrate to reach your spirit. This is but one reason bad things happen, to purge this stuff so you can hear and see Him clearly.

Mercy and obedience go hand-in-hand. Without mercy, what chance do we have to learn to obey Him? Without obedience, why should He bother giving us a chance?

John 20:22 “…[Jesus] breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’” – He prepared them to receive their connection (the Holy Spirit) to the Spirit of His Father’s Voice (Jesus Himself). Psalm 33:6 By the Word of YHWH, the heavens were made; by the breath of His mouth, all the host.

No Appeasement

At the church the Father has me visiting, the pastor used the word appeasement in reference to his sermon on atonement.

EEK!

I got a serious negative vibe when he said that and worsened as he explained that it is not like what the pagans did for their gods.

I told my friend who invited me there the Father did not like that word at all. The pagans did what they did to continue to live as they wanted. He never desired appeasement, but a people obedience to the desires of His heart. The sacrifice covered sins, but He was not placated by it.

Psalm 51:16-17
For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied, “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.”

Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire—but my ears you have opened—burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.

Did I mention it to him? Not going to bother; he made it clear to me he is going to do what he thinks is best. I would love to meet a pastor who seeks the Word of God, Jesus Himself, to verify teachings and corrections.

*sigh*

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Can you pray this prayer of Moses?

Exodus 32:32 (literal) Now if you will forgive their sin, but if not, blot me I pray out of Your book that You have written.

Paul did.

Romans 9:3 (literal) I was wishing, indeed, to be a curse to myself, I [separated] away from the Christ for the brothers of me, the kinsmen of me, according to flesh.

I cannot… yet.

Thought Splatters (Sploosh!)

True humility is caring about what God thinks, not getting stuck on the “woe is me; I am such a worm” mindset. Humility, mercy and obedience are best buddies.

“I’m scared, Father. Help me.” Many times, the most effective prayer is a simple one straight from the heart.

There is a difference between nonbelievers and unbelievers. Nonbelievers either do not want Yah to exist or worship the creation in order to manipulate it. Unbelievers either do not perceive anything beyond the physical or whatever cannot be quantified consistently. Quit using logic and reason to convert these people! Only His supernatural authority and power can grab their hearts.

Truth is not what you know, which doctrines are correct, or what you do. Truth is the living, active Word of God, Yahshua, sent to each of us through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, true fellowship is when the Spirit of Christ flows through a group of believers and they recognize that moment of unity under His direction. This cannot be coerced or scheduled by us.

Some believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are no more because they believe the perfect (mature) is here (1 Corinthians 13:9-12). How can anyone call this divided, carnal, soulish, powerless mess mature is beyond me. The perfect Paul wrote about is Christ Himself. Jesus prayed that the world will know His Ecclesia by their unity in spirit (John 17:20-23). His Father, not any work of man, will fulfill this.

The most insidious form of deception: covering a heresy with another while successfully refuting the former.

Jesus returning to the Father was a matter of logistics and keeping things simple for our little pea-brains. He also wanted each of us to be as He was in full spiritual power and authority. Notice how much better the disciples operated after He left than when He was with them. They needed Christ within them in order to be complete in His image.

Did you know Jonah’s prophetic judgment against Nineveh was delay about a century (Nahum 2:6-11)? This demonstrates two items: Yah does not waste words (Psalm 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, Isaiah 45:23, Isaiah 46:10, Isaiah 55:11, Matthew 5:18, Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33) and a prophetic picture of mercy and grace given to the Gentiles.

Do not dwell of the phrase “the chosen ones” in reference to physical Judah and Benjamin. Did the Word not call you unto Him (Matthew 20:16, Matthew 22:14)? Were you not grafted into the olive tree (Israel) [Romans 11:17-24]? Are you not a spiritual Jew (Romans 2:28-29)? Did you not see the passages announcing Jew and Gentile forming “one new man” (Ephesians 2:14-18, Galatians 6:15)? All of these the Word taught to keep believers on the same level—cells of His Body (Galatians 3:28, 1 Peter 2:9).

The pattern of nature (or circle of life) is a teaching tool of how Yah operates. Like the Tanahk and rituals, it is a shadow of the good things to come (the new heaven and earth – the new spiritual and physical realms).
